hi, i think i have found a website that sells chameleons, the shop is based in gatwick but they do delivery so that's ok:) but they also do like 10 different types of breed of panther chameleons and i was just wonering which breed is the easiest to look after. (my favortie type is the "sirama" but i like all of them):):):)

I think the easiest to look after are veileds, then panthers. Veileds grow quickly and are out of the delicate baby stage quicker than most breeds although you must have proper husbandry for all chameleons.

For Panthers, their care would be the same for all locales, they are essentially the exact same animal with different coloured markings on the outside

If you want to get nitty gritty this would be false. But, in general you are right. Since we can't mimic the temperature perfectly, a generalization is needed. There are some areas that get cooler and warmer on the island than other parts. Some Panthers live near water and some live more inland... so the environment does change a bit between locals.

I had found this cool site that shows the temp change of the day like a movie.... but I can't find it anywhere..... If I come across it again ill post it up.

ok, so your saying i could get any of them?, and also i could not find the solventless odorless latex paint in any shops i went in :( ( do u no any shops that sell it) B&Q said that none of thier paints would be suitable for a pet

Just get one of the LLL cages. They are solidly built and you can't beat the price.

Joe is in England, I shudder to think of the shipping costs to have a full cage shipped from US, has anyone ever done this? Or does England have a similiar reptile supply carrier?
Unfortunately I'm not familiar with England's stores at all, so wouldn't know where to look. Do you have any big chain hardware stores? In Canada we have 'Home Depot', 'Canadian Tire' etc... Or maybe even a smaller hardware store might special order it for you? It can't hurt to ask some store owners

If Joe is crafty he could build one of these cages. These are just window screens custom sized and custom drilled. The hard part is making them square.

A local hardware store might even make the screen panels for you. You could then drill out the holes yourself.

LLL's cages are shipped flat (not built) I believe.

Correct.

But imagine that cage making its way through countless shipping hubs and getting tossed around and crushed by other more heavier boxes...

They may lay flat. but it still takes up a lot of room and isn't cheap to ship. shipping companies look at the cubic space a package occupies and its weight. Since the screen cages come in boxes that are an awkward size, they charge a lot to ship them.

I tried to use the UPS calculator but I don't know what town or postal code Joe lives in.
