Current Problem - eyes are irratating and he keeps them closed all day hanvt seen him eat or drink in a couple days, he also has beed rolling his eyes i guess u could say but he dose it when he open them. vet said good calcium and he is hydrated

It could be possibly an infection behind the eyes?
I recently had a problem with a baby panther thats had this (i got him like that)
Do you ever let them fall alseep with the cage very moist?
Also do you clean your mister every day?
And do you notice you cage is very damp?

Im asking this because bacteria can build up in the standing water/in misting bottles
and can lead to eye infections.

This is what happened to the poor baby panther that was givin to me by my husband :p

also that moss sounds like it could be a possible breeding ground for bacteria because moss tends to stay wet.

Please fill out all brands and what types you are using in the lights and supplements. It's important.

It could be a couple of things from lighting to supplementation. I could be just spacing right now because I'm so tired, but what do you mean with lighting when you say UVA and UVB 7 to 8? What kind of supplementation do you use? Just calcium, calcium with vit D3, and a multivitamin?
Here are some good articles about vitamin A:

zoo med bulbs 7am to 8 pm light hours.
calcium is repocal with d3, and i do mist his cage befor bed but dont soak it

Minimally I think you need to hydrate the animal more. I would set up a dripper to make sure there is always fresh water bouncing off a leaf.

When you mist, really soak stuff. It should look like it's raining. I do that twice a day. Humidity is a wonderful thing, but it doesn't replace potable water.

I suspect it's not an eye issue. Eyes are just the most obvious indicators that your chameleon is not doing well.

You should try to get some fresh poop to take to the vet for a fecal. It's oddly cool in San Diego now, but if you're inland, you might be able to put him outside in the sun for awhile. Some have reported that stimulates them to poop and fresh air and sunshine are always good things. Make sure you stay nearby so no cats or birds terrorize him. He needs a place to get out of the sun. If there's not a good hiding place in the cage, just toss a towel over part of the top.

Giving calcium with D3 is too much vitamin D to give every other feeding, the vitamin D is fat soluble and if too much is given, it stores in the fat cells in the body and can cause quite a few problems, even death from heart problems (and Rep-Cal has a super high dose of D3) Just give calcium alone without D3 every other feeding and D3 and a multi-vitamin every other week or every couple of weeks.

i have built him a cage out side so he can get some real rays he seemed to be more lively but he wouldnt open one eye alot and when he did he rolled it. i do have a dripper going almost all day every day. when i took him in to the vet he said he was hydrated but skinny. he was dewormed as well

Are you saying the vet gave him a deworming medication? If so, then keep up the misting and drip and see how things are in a day or two.
