Poop Question!

Ok, Karma has only been fed crickets until we got her.
Needless to say, due to this board we have changed that.
This weekend we bought 4 doz. superworms so we can try our hand at raising them plus she can have some to eat. And give her variety. She ate a couple on Sat. after we got home.
Today, I noticed she has pooped this morning and it basically looks like whole superworms in the poop. It is still white and clear liquid so she is well hydrated, just the whole superworm carcass suprised me.
Before this, her poops were little brown poops with clear liquid and white....very healthy looking.
Is this normal? Should we NOT feed her the superworms then? Or is her system just not used to digesting them?

She seemed fine Sat. Sun. and so far today. She loved the superworms as well.

If you feed her late in the day she may not had enough time to digest them. The heat from basking helps them digest their food. Also be carefull not to feed to many so she doesn't get addicted to them and refuse to eat anything else. You should gutload your supers just like crickets with collard greens, yams, carrots, apples, oranges, they will grub on that stuff. Silk and horn worms are great feeders too and full of good stuff.

She is just swallowing the superworms whole. I would try something else other than supers. I would only use supers as a treat. Can you get some silkies or horn worms? I dont think anything is wrong its just that she didnt get some good bites before the worm was swallowed..

Superworms are being gutloaded as well as mealworms for pacman frog and crickets! Heck, even crickets in pacman frog tank that are wandering around have a plate of yummy stuff!

I have an order in for silkworms because cant find them around here locally. Superworms and crickets we can.
I am trying to get her off just crickets and rotated into other stuff.

Glad to know its because she scarfed them instead of something wrong!

I dont think she had eaten in a couple of days when we gave her the superworms. I gave her dusted crickets a few days prior which I dont think she had before, as owner didnt mention it and didnt give us calcium powder and while she ate them, she was not happy with me after and refused to take one from my hand the rest of the week.

How old is she?

We were told in the CL ad, 1 yr. but when the guy was talking to us he was thinking about it and felt it was closer to 18 months. He had her for 9-10 and she was almost an adult when he got her.

I would go with 18 mo.

time of day is crucial for feeding,

superworms also have a harder exo than butters, and silkies, what size worms u feeing it?u should cultivate silkworms, they r yummy for them and pricey too.I give my veiled half doz med super in morn followed by misting then crickets dusted in multivit/calcium.I only give him silkies and butterworms as a treat or to draw him out for handling.silkies r 50cents a piece here lol

18 months you are fine to feed her everyother day. If she is refusing to eat crickets its fine to let her go a few days without food. I would order some silkies or hornworms. Use supers in moderation.
