Had to freeze around 50 hornworms today..... poor guys. They were all too big to feed off and I already had 40 go pupate which is way more than enough, my colony has far exceeded what I can keep up with. Even after mailing out around 1000 eggs I still had 300 left. Its ridiculous!

Why did you freeze them for? Is not like u can feed them frozen right?

Haha, yeah you can refrigerate them as long as it isnt too cold for a day or two at a time. But freezing.......I like to say they go to sleep............forever.

When mine got to big i didnt wana kill them so i sneak into grandmas garden and let them go. She has tomato plants. Of course she didnt know or i would be dead right now. Haha

Ha! On no! going to be an infestation. My parents have moon flowers in their garden and they love to watch the "hummingbird moths" eat from them. I laughed and told them not to look forward to their tomatoes this year!

Haha they have no idea. the wild hornworm moths are they
also toxic?

Well the ones I froze were huge, way to big for most birds. I have a couple hundred small ones for the next round of feeding. Did I mention all I have is 1 little Jackson's cham? LOL! Chances are in 3-4 weeks I will be looking to mail out tons of eggs.

You are holding out on me. I could have tried to get them to pupate . Would have needed to steal - I mean borrow a tomato plant, but I am flexible. You can train me further when you get back.:D
