Poor Rex :(

My first rescue. 10 month old spiny was in bad care.... Dehydrated , underfed and weak. Had poor habitat and bad ventilation, looked someone picked up a bunch of leaves and crap and threw it in with no coconut husk or anything !!! Habitat is remodeled and all good now. Lots of water and food and climbing space. Keep him in your prayers !!! I'll get him on his clean bill of health ASAP :)

Always nice to see someone willing to help save a chameleon. Good luck and make sure you post pics when hes all better:D

Thanks guys :) ! I gave him and his cage a good spray before he went to sleep and he looks right peaceful :) beautiful bright metallic greens, silver, yellow and blues... His eyes look more hydraded. He never had anything to perch on before so he's loving the new home already I think. Got some horned worms and good gut loaded crickets for him to have a feast tomorrow.

He will be loving life in no time! Just imagine his colors when he is feeling better. Keep us updated.

I pray this story ends happy......thanks for rescuing him and he will be in my prayers.....bless his little heart!

Hoping for the very best for you and the new little guy. He sure does deserve some decent care, glad you are there for him.

I always feel a range of emotions when I see/hear stories like this. First a gut-wrenching sadness to see the little guy looking so unwell and obviously uncared for....and then elation that someone has stepped up to help him! A little roller coaster in a thread!! :)

Thanks for being there for him.

That picture literally brought tears to my eyes...how can anyone treat an animal like that? I know many Cham purchases can be impulse buys, but look at that little face! Just one look and you can know he feels awful! Thank you so much for rescuing him; sending you both lots of positive thoughts & warm wishes.

Full of energy and hydrated today !!! I open the cage and he's in my hand :), loves the new set up !!! He still needs to eat and bulk up but he's so much more lively today :) !! He's so happy in his new clean and adventureous habitat !! I'm still worried about his weight and what seems to be a burn mark :(

You must be doing a great job with him, he needs so much love, something that I'm sure he has never had before....thank you so very much for taking in this little guy and bringing him back.....I'm sure he still needs all the prayers we can send him, I won't forget to say one for him.

Thanks everyone. We've been opening his mouth and placing crickets in and squirting was in his mouth too. Seems like he's missing a few teeth and scales by his mouth but he's eating . Made our bathroom a hydration room and brought him in the warm humidity ..... I even put him under the shower head for a couple seconds here and there just for a warm dose. He turned beautiful greens and blues and woke right up .... Looks like we got a new daily routine but he will learn
