Portable Cage: Will it Stress Them?

So I made a medium portable cage to transport indoors and outdoors. Cuz I wanna use natural sunlight for an upcoming baby veiled(my first).

At night though, I wanna put the cage inside cuz Ill feel safer, plus we let the dogs roam around at night.

Will daily transport from inside the house to outside stress the chameleon - even if its inside the cage? Should I just put the cage in a place where I dont have to transport it at all?

I bought a chameleon book which said that making a portable cage is OK for transporting it indoors/outdoors during weather change. But never mentioned about the stress factor.

THANKS!

I don't think it will stress them out.

I've seen other members here that have their enclosures on shelving with wheels so they can transport it indoors and out.

I don't think it will stress them out even if you do it everyday since your not moving them from one cage to another or redoing their cage.

They're still going to be in the same cage, your just moving it in and out.

Maybe someone else here can chime in.. I have mine facing a window so I never have to move them. I just open the windows in the morning and by afternoon the sun hits the enclosures. They get afternoon sun which is all the sun my living room gets.

I actually do and I have it on a timer from 630 am to 430pm it's on. It turns off until 7:00 pm then back on again until 8pm.

It's spring here so the days are longer but the sun doesn't actually hit the enclosures until 430pm.

I usually adjust it, depending on what time they sleep. At times they go to their sleeping spot even when the lights are still on so I try to adjust it.

i had to transport my chameleon about 20 miles to the vets in the car the other day, i covered her over, and peeked a few times at her. it was the happiest id had ever seen her. she loved it!!

I have all my chameleons on racks with wheels… When I am home and the weather is nice I will take them off the rack or wheel them all outside for sun. Mine are all also in front of windows, however mine still have UVB bulbs on them…

Will moving your chameleon outside everyday stress him a bit? Maybe, but good ol sun is worth a few min of stress to get it situated outside.
