OK got a question.. I was into Orchids a bit a while back and I have this unit in storage.. debating selling it.. or perhaps can be converted to a really nice cage for a adult male veiled cham?? http://www.orchidarium.com/htm/azores.htm
I have a heck of a time with temps in the winter living in new Hampshire.. Also a ton of issues with plant die off.. So already looking at LED plant lights.. etc.. HO lights..
So thoughts??
couple of things.. yes glass, so ventilation.. it does Not, have a open top however it is plexi and can be changed.. the doors are not sealed.. IT has two fans.. etc for air flow.. so either change to a scree top, or figure out a way to keep the fans.. and add a ventilation kind of holes..
I may still see what I can get for this for someone who has orchids.. it was a pretty expensive unit, now they go for over $2000 but it is very nice to look at.. and frankly would make a darn nice looking Cham cage.. even if looks don't equal good for the animal still looks nice.. not saying I risk the animals health for looks.. but if there is a way to use it.. worth considering
