Possible edema or? Need help and advice... first timer.

Well, after 9 days, the red guy took a MASSIVE and discusting dump whille giving him a nice steamy shower. It looks BAD. pics attached. the thing is, I got a fecal done before and nothing came up for parasites or anything. And his fat bumps are getting some what fatter. They are right behind his head, and right before his first spike kicks in. these pics are much better then the last ones I posted in the previous thread. Does anyone have any idea on whats going on with my red boy? he has always been more lethargic than any of my chams and doesn't really show any aggression to any of my males, which is weird. when he does, he fires up like crazy but hes usually very calm colored and somewhat dark... I'm stumped. he looks alert, eyes round as a circle and alert looking. He moves around in his cage alot, but just kind of lazy. He hasnt been eating too much, only about a few crickets a day, but I also think hes getting ready to shed.

Im going to get some better pics of his bumps on his head once hes out of the shower... my camara gets lenses gets covered in steam if I try to take a pic inside the bathroom. I try to get it like a steam room basically so 100 percent humidity

My inexperienced opinion would be that if it isnt just fat , its probably edema or even gout. Both are caused by vitamin deficiency or overdose. I believe edema can be caused by too much d3, and gout by too much protein.

Im thinking the same thing unfortunately:/ the only thing is I thought gout was something with their feet/joints being swollen... his feet look completely normal and so do his legs. the only thing that is weird is the fat. theres been more of it the past few days so i really don't think its normal considering hes not eating as much. He doesn't have a URI, I'm sure of that. but he possibly has something, more likely edema. But, I also thought that edema starts at the bottom of the neck and then causes bumps under the arm pits and stuff... he doensnt have any of that. Im stumped.

It looks like he's just chubby, chameleons have fat pads.. So when they gain weight it only goes to certain parts of their body. They will get fatty ankles and fat on their casque. He's might be lethargic because he is cold, so monitor his ambient temps.

I dont know about them bumps but his poop doesnt look good at all. I see you have him in the shower thats good . Get him plenty of water in between showers if possible.

I have been told before that if you use flukers for ur crickets that ur cham gets more fat. But since i have never used it i would not know for sure but this is what my friend used and it made his cham look like that and also have fat on his chest!

I dont use that. since about 2 weeks ago I use all natural things. vegggies, fruits. plus i give bug burger and crazy crack. I ammm so stumped

I would suggest taking him to a herp vet for a check up regardless.

I'm doing that this week AGAIN . lol. His reptisun is actually getting old now that I think of it! about 8 months. i bought 4 reptisuns online for 14 bucks a piece and they will be here tommorow. maybe that will change something
