Shes been opening her mouth every now and then with a wheezing noise every time she does it. She has been trying to shoot her tongue to eat but only gets it out an inch or so.
Rudis chameleon. Had her for about a year and a half now .Temps are at 86 basking and the rest of the cage at 71-78F. Hand misting five times a day keeping humidity up at between 60-90%.Always ate well but has started to neglect after this illness. She is in a heavily planted 40x20x16 enclosure.I'll be taking her to the vet soon but other than that , any suggestions would be gladly accepted. I dont want to lose her.:(

My suggestion is to take her to the vet sooner than just "soon", like this friday! I don't know much about respiratory system and its associated diseases, but what you mentionned is already enough for me to think you don't have much time left...

vet!!!

for sure get it to the vet,as fickle as they are they are hardy as well kinda natures oxymoron,so if his tongue is messed up......

Took her to the vet...He gave her some baytril and she seems to be doing fine .. Just ate 2 crickets and a spider.:D
