Possible shedding with picture

Here is a picture (from a cellphone) of my 2 month veiled. I noticed yesterday she looked somewhat ashy. I hope she is just shedding

Hi! She looks good and healthy to me! She likely is just about to shed, they do it a lot at that age :)

I have a drip cup and spray her 3-4 times per day. All her poop looks normal. But she is my first chameleon and when I noticed she looked so ashy I got worried.

That's plenty of water then. Like Angie said they're funny at that age. I think it's their bodies way of learning how to change shades and colors. Kinda like chameleon puberty lol instead of squeaky voice and acne they're colors go funky at times. Your doing a great job, she looks healthy and you care which is a huge part of keeping them happy and healthy!!

Yay! That is great to know. Now if I could just get her eating the 10-20 crickets/day that have been suggested. I also bought the meal worms and so far she is ignoring them.

At that age a better feeding goal is 6 1/4" to 1/2" 2x/day. You want to give it all he will eat but not leave crickets in the cage. You will soon find out how many he will eat per day. As time goes by you can add extra in the first feeding to see if he will eat more per day.

He looks good. Did he shed yet? It should all just pop off. The babies don't take any time at all to shed.

I'm feeding her what she will eat. trying twice per day. usually she will eat 4 and stop. she wont take the meal worms at all tho :( But she is active and healthy to me. I will continue to watch and update :D

Well at least she's eating. The mealworms can upset their stomachs or impact due to the hard exoskeleton on them so it might not be bad she won't eat them. I've never had the issue but I have heard of some that have. Have you tried silk worms? or even baby dubia roaches

I have not because our local pet shops do not sell anything but mealworms, superworms, and crickets. I could try the pet smart but it's like a 45 min drive away. Which I am going to a reptile show this weekend and will check there.

Even if you can get a colony of adult roaches you can always set them up to breed, it'll be many months before its all established with em tho. I'm making my first attempt at breeding dubias so I'll let ya know
