Post shed/Daytona photo update!
Both my boys shed over the last week, the depth of their colors continue to amaze me, Kai's yellows and reds are starting to show and Gus is getting greener. At the show I added a .1 ambiloble from a December clutch. Sire was a yellow body blue bar, I got an early pick Saturday am and really like the one I ended up with even though their weren't as many choices as I hoped. Think the Daytona recap post had a pic of her brother. Picked up a mistking at the show and since I was good and didn't get any snakes at the show and decided to wait for US hatched thambonates pulled the trigger and updated the ambilobles indoor enclosures to Dragonstands over the last week, still working out layouts meanwhile they all are enjoying lots of outside time with the weather finally cooling off some.
My girlfriend fell in love in Daytona and purchased a hatchling 1.0 banana fire spider ball python, her first exotic! She talked about it for awhile and was comparing all the other ones to him, I knew I was in trouble when we went back and he was still there on Sunday afternoon, looks like my girls have another future partner. She won't let him stay in my office in the rack, her little VIP Sunny (after Sunny Garcia) is taking up kitchen counter space!
Ruby .1 ambilobe, still a bit fussy going between enclosures but handfeeds readily.
Kai, he saw me walking by with Ruby on my arm and freaked out, never seen him move so fast came to the door pawing at it headbobbing he was ready to go, will have to figure out how to post the video.
Gus my youngest guy had his first shed recently.
After
Kai shed the same day but just seemed to pop his off, full shed in less then 24 hours from showing any signs. He didn't like me cleaning all the skin off his plants then got all fired up when I started taking pics.
On his way outside today, less grouchy than usual. Think he still had Ruby on his mind.
Sunny, he's very friendly so far and has fed twice this week hoping he'll be and easy F/T convert with that appetite.
