What is an appropriate size screen cage for a baby Cham. I will be in the market for a secon Cham very soon and I'm shopping around now. But I want to order a new cage now and get it set for him. Please give me advice
For a juvenile veiled chameleon, 16 x 16 x 30 is good, but the appropriate size really depends upon the type of chameleon you're getting.
If you click on Resources at the top of your screen, then on "Caresheets" on the left side, you'll find you can access caresheets for a variety of chams. Appropriate cage sizes for juvies, adult males, and adult females are given in the care sheets for each species.
ive had a baby in a 2x2x4ft cage no problem.as long as you know there eating.as they will not be able to find most of the live food in a big viv.i cup feed so dont have that problem. and my new baby cham will be going into my 2x2x4ft cage too.goodluck and post pics when your done.
id just put it in a full size cage no point in buying twice.in the wild they have no boundaries and do fine and if you set up a cup feeder theres no reason it will have a hard time finding food.
I wanna see the cup feeder set ups because if done it and my guy eats out of it sometime and sometimes he won't so I want to see what cups work and where in the cage they should be
It's for crickets and locust that type of thing the netting is for then to climb and be easily targeted by the cham is be inclined to use a dish for worms
