Powersun UV bulb

So I was just wanting to know what people think of the powersun UV bulb by zoo med. I have a lamp holder, so the heat is not a problem, but would you guys recommend the powersun for both UVB and UVA or should I buy a basking bulb and a UVB bulb and lamp? I would be putting this on a young panther Cham.

Most of us use two separate bulbs. It is better to use a tube uvb bulb which covers more area in the cage versus the compacts. I don't like the combos as they are forced to sit under the uvb directly even if they only want to bask to warm up. I think the powersun may be a little too strong for a baby or very young chameleon also.

Ok thanks! I was going to have it about 18 inches from the enclosure.

That is pretty far up from the enclosure. It might not be too bright then, but you might have trouble heating up the basking spot keeping it that far away.

I've been testing it, at 18 inches it's about 75 degrees, at 12 it's about 86 and at 10 it's about 89.
