Pray for Eddie, My First and Only Cham

I'm a new owner so I also have anxiety about my new baby. I hope things turn for the better for yours.

Dave, do you think small crickets have spines or at what age do they develop the spines?

I think his cham was only 3 months old. I'm assuming he's feeding the smaller crix.

I feed mine the 3 week old crix.

Are the spines strong on the 3 week old ones?

Mika,

Do not spend any time worrying about this.
The crickets are totally safe for your chameleon.

Howdy Mika,

Like Brad said, you've got nothing to worry about. You might say that crickets sized for 3 month-old chameleons are like "baby food" in their potential for harm. I'll re-iterate that the risk of injury from appropriately crickets is tiny compared to the benefit of using them as a staple food item.

I just want to make sure that it's safe because I don't want the crickets hurting my cham when I feed it to him if he's not healthy.

Like the cham I'm still treating for URI.

Cool :D Thanks Dave & Brad!
