Prayers and Well Wishes For Fiona

So glad the surgery is over. Continuing to send prayers and positive thoughts.
You can do this, Fiona! She's a special girl, Jann.

Deb

Thank you Rogue and James.

I just spoke to Dr. Mader's wife and Fiona is doing well. She is up in her tree and drinking from the IV bag dripper. She's had her meds and some Critical Care and they will offer her some silkworms in a bit. If she continues to do well I will get to bring her home this afternoon. Thanks to all for the prayers and well wished for Fiona.

Jann this is such wonderful news !!. Did they spay her . I'm not sure if that what they call it with a chameleon ?

Yes she was spayed just like my Lottie girl. I might add that very few vet have had success with this surgery in the US.
Well you have the best of the best . Frances vet told me that straight out . I'm so very happy she's doing well . It would have been much to soon for you to loose another little love . I will still be praying and sending positive healthy energy till she's home and recovered .

Thank you! She still needs prayers and well wishes. The first few weeks are critical. My parsonii girl Hera looked great and did well for two weeks after this same surgery and then crashed really fast.

You have gone through this to many times . I'm sorry for that . They truly become a peace of our heart .

I've been keeping since 2004 and chameleons just don't have long lives and I've always used good vets so I've see allot and been through allot because I love them so much. I bet allot of females die of this same thing and the keepers that don't use vets wouldn't ever know.

Agreed their lives are much to short . I was just having this Conversation yesterday on another thread . As you know we have only been keeping chameleons for just over a year 14 months , Frances , she's been a challenge thank goodness for this forum and a great vet . Beardies and geckos for 30+ years . chameloens have such short lives comparison . If one can get them to live a full life it's still only 7/8 years . Seems most don't make it that long .

Thank you all and please continue to keep my sweet girl in you thoughts and prayers. She's home now in her condo and looking pretty good for all that she went through yesterday. Here's a photo of her at home and her discharge papers that I thought might interest some of you.
