Hmmm.. Will these little buggers eat dirt/fungus gnats since they eat fruit flies?

They will.

Will these take care of a baby spider problem if i release a few in my place?

I have yet to see one eat a spider, I would think venom would deter.

lol i was just shocked because steve said itll be a week or so, lol now i gata get fruit flies early in the morning!

That was a pretty fast hatch. I had just pulled out of the fridge yesterday morning. How's that for instant gratification.

Yes, I have a limit amount left. 25 veils can do some eating. One hatch out might last two to three days, in a cage full of ravenous babies. If your lucky egg case might hatch out over period of two or three day, usually within hour of lights coming on in the morning. Other wise it's a mass hatch-out with 50 to 200 mini mantis running around.

It depends on the size of the veil hatchlings. If veils are a early hatchout (premi) small might take a week or two to get they size up to handle newly hatched Mantis. If (full term) nine months they will usually start feeding as soon as they get there tongue working. I like using Mantis in my nursery tanks, were small crickets and fruit flies are roaming. The mantis dont bother the baby chams too small to fed on mantis, but keep the crickets and flies moving around that can annoy, or in the cases of crickets even bit small chams. It a good balance I've found.
