Predation in outside cages

with the nice weather coming I would really like to let my guy outside to enjoy it. My concern is that my neighbor has two fat a$& cats that they let free roam. I have asked that they not let them roam my yard as they drive my dogs crazy and me as well. In addition to being so heavy they tear up my fences jumping over them they dig in my gardens. My neighbor refuses to contain them and I don't have the heart to call animal control as they have a small child who is very attached to the cats. Ranting aside, does anyone have a similar situation and how did you prevent the cats from going after your chameleons. I'm afraid even if I put up heavy duty cat proof cages the animals will be so frightened that they won't enjoy being outside anyways.

My chams have been outside all summer. I live in the woods with lots of wild animals around like fox, racoon, opossum, and even a few coyote. There's even a feral cat colony by the house we take care of. I've had no issues. My chams are inside of my fenced in yard and are in wrought iron bird cages that I have wrapped in screen. My problem is my dog likes to cock his leg on the cages and my cat likes to sit on the top of them. The wildlife has never been an issue. Bur my chams seem to enjoy it outside and are safe

Unfortunately right now I do not have any substantial caging available. Just the standard screen cages, I'm pretty sure the cats could get through it if they put there mind to it.

There was a product I used in my jeep to keep the cats out and it worked pretty well. It was called Cat Mace, but it was all natural oils, bought off Amazon. You'd need to apply it pretty regularly, but eventually the cats may get the idea and leave your yard alone.

i would make a simple enclosure out of aviary mesh... Take the smaller size mesh and do a double layer of it (like on both sides od the frame)...
It's will cost you only like 50$ to build and it will keep your chameleon safe from fat cats.

I think there's also some sort of infrared sprinkler available that sprays water on anything that moves.
