No worries, some people just love to go to a restaurant and only order A glass of cold water then leave since its not their favorite food, which I totally understand :)

It is 16x16x30 and i dont think ill have room for one this one will already take up most of it

Well, first off that cage is too small for a veiled. It will work for now, but when she is 6 months + that is too small.

And judging by the pics she is right around 6 months. Likely 4.5-5, so that cage needs replaced soon. Not sure why you would get such a small cage for a juvenile.

So in that case, dont trim the plant. Grab a pothos and use that and maybe a small fake plant till you get a bigger cage.

I just got the reptibreeze chameleon kit

I just got the reptibreeze chameleon kit

Well reptibreeze chameleon kits come in different sizes for different ages and chameleons.

That cage is fine for some chameleons (not many) and babies till about 6 months. However it is not nearly large enough for a adult veiled, you need a 24x24x48 for a veiled. For a female you could make due with a 18x18x36 if you have too, but the 48 would be ideal.

16x16x30 is simply too small all the way around.

Here from your kit.

"Zoo Med quality Starter Kit for all Old World Chameleons. Great starter kit to raise baby Veileds, Panthers & Jacksons up to sub adult size. Also great for the full life of a Side Striped, Pygmy Chameleons, Carpet Chameleons, Rudis and many others!"

That does not mean nor is it a forever cage or even close.

The one in the amazon.com was smaller, but the one u got was way too big for ur cage,so either A ) get a bigger cage or B) get ur money back n get a small plant to cover the bottom part of the cage.

Secondly covering that is not enough. You need to change the soil, and clean the plant. You didnt change the soil I see, did you at least clean the plant?

That plant from the store is covered in Pesticides and needs to be repotted (with like Eco Earth), and cleaned before it goes in that cage.
