is it possible for a 3month old veiled to carry eggs? cause mine keep going to the bottom of the cage by the plants and turning black

Does she do this when you are at the cage looking at her? Could be scared black is also a stress colour.

I'm betting she is too hot. Chams generally go down to the bottom to variate their temperatures (generally when they want to cool down). What is the basking temperature? She/he is turning black because the heat could be too much and stressing it out. Does he/she gape its mouth too upwards?

I would normally agree but if they are venturing down to the bottom where it is obviously cooler and still dark then that indicates stress of some sort and I'm just speculating here that its from the heat. Unless other stressful factors are there that I am unaware of.

she only goes down when im not looking and when i find her down there she comes up.... and the basking temp is around 83-90 which is only one side of the cage since i have a wide cage. she will be down there until i find her or she finds me and will come up to the top and color will change back to normal

Is that screen or glass? I can't tell. I think its screen from my view. Do you have substrate on the bottom?

first normal second is when she was at the bottom and she was climbing up

It is starting to look like maybe she is just very adventurous, especially if she is young. And having a wider cage versus a taller one normally stints in them going down all the way to the bottom to adventure. It could just be that she is getting cold at the bottom under some heavily shaded areas and then turning black to absorb more heat. Hence why she climbs back to the top black. If she is drinking fine, eating normally, pooping normally, and has kept her strength and isn't wobbling or having a hard time holding onto branches then I think she is fine.

she is drinking and eating normally and she poops frequently and same color as usual. im guessing she's fine. im just worried cause she's my first cham :D
