Preparing for egg laying?

Charlotte is a female or early sub-adult veiled chameleon, and that means before I know it, she'll be ready to lay infertile clutches. Now what are some signs I can look for to see if she's gravid? What can I do to prepare right now? Thanks :)

lookk for her to start digging and scratching around the bottom of her enclosure. she may also seem lethargic and may not want to eat much.

The best advice I can give is to make a lay bin and leave it in her cage, FOREVER! Females can lay as often as every 6 weeks (though if she does you need to change a few things in your husbandry). Having a good lay bin in the cage at all times is a must for females, since they do not always give clear signs that they are gravid. Having the lay bin means that she can lay eggs if needed, even if you don't know she is gravid.

Agree with Lpsouth about leaving an egglaying bin in the cage of a female egglaying chameleon at all times.

She should get mustard yellow splotches on her when she's sexually mature along with bright blue dots when she is receptive. After that she will likely start to produce eggs depending on your husbandry.

When she is nearing the time to lay she will likely be restless, roam the cage looking for a place to lay, drink more. She should NOT be lethargic or sit low in the cage or sit with her eyes shut. A couple if days before she lays she could eat less.

Once she starts digging do not let her see you watching her. She will likely abandon the hole and if it happens often enough it can lead to eggbinding.

Are you supplementing properly, feeding/gutloading the insects properly, providing UVB light and appropriate temperatures?

Yeah everything is up to snuff. :), thanks for everyone's help! She's about 6 inches but I still got the laying box all ready :)
