Preparing for my first chameleon, tips appreciated

I got the mist king a little more to my liking, minus the timer....

I added another nozzle extender to angle it better, and secured the piping directly to the structure of the enclosure. I also found the sticky velcro. It was on top of the enclosure and almost pushed off the back.
The drainage system is working well so far, though I can imagine I'll be emptying it often, but since there is so much plant in there, it's really catching and keeping the water inside which is great.

I love the smell of the mist, too.
Reminds me of being sick and having a humidifier going, one that creates the visual fog

Some times the chameleons like to hang off the misting heads or when going by move them . Just a heads up . Keep an eye on it . We suck ours up every other day .

Ok so I think I understand the timer.
I thought I was setting the time it starts and time it stops, but I think I figured out I set the time it starts and the length of time it runs.

It should go off at noon. I have it set on auto and it's not just constantly running like before.
Here goes nothing

Ok that was all I was doing wrong.
I was so confused why the second time had no AM or PM lol.
It's running perfectly

There's no one in there to benefit, but I absolutely love it. It's a lot of peace of mind, and I don't have to worry about everything being dripping wet when I mist.
I really wish I would have had this from the start :( maybe it could have saved one of them

That's great that you are liking it. You were a great chameleon parent, you did everything for the little girls.

Thank you, there's just still so much guilt. I hope the new arrival will love the mist king. I'm very eager to house another one now that I'm more properly set up

I'm planning to mix it up and go with a male veiled this time. If I can get him going really well and healthy, I have no problem setting up a second enclosure and getting a little girl again in the future

Thank you :)
I'll be placing my order next Thursday so that he arrives Friday morning. That gives me a few days to tweak everything and have it ready. Lights and mist dry run is looking good. Going to get him some more stuff to climb around on at the top area here shortly
