Preparing for my first chameleon, tips appreciated

He's been sitting at the highest point of the enclosure, around 90°, and the color of an over-ripe banana. Poor buddy. He can't be too terribly upset if he ate though

I'll try and sneak some pics after lights are out and he's asleep

He's not hiding , colors sound relaxed , and he's got a full belly . All sounds great .

He's sat through three mistings today, too. Unsure if he drank. I've caught him showing his green color when he was eating and when he first arrived.
His eyes have been looking around like crazy, no closing or day napping

I also have a name for him, but I'd like to provide a photo when I announce his name, so here's hoping he's a sound sleeper

I agree with Kristen..with time u will pick up on how he's feeling. I notice with Peter a brown is usually just an indoor basking color. when he's outside basking he is many shades of green with orange. When he's pissed he's the same as his outside basking but with blue spots.and when he's scared he turns a deep almost black. I have only seen that once tho as he thinks he's a tuff guy and I'm the Scared one lol

My babies get more colors as well when eating .

The mist is so fine they can literally breathe it in .

He's so adorable. I hope he settles in well over the next week or so.

Yes definitely this little one you definitely want to let settling in . A few days or even a week . Check that he's ok fill his food and make sure water is full . He's going to need settling in time . Don't want to stress this little one .

Awesome it's really hard , especially with having the beardies they Thrive on handling . This little one gets a bit stressed so definitely give him a bit of space . He will be a bit different because he's healthy . The little girls were a different case because of health issues . I'm not telling you at all you can't handle him just that right now he needs his space .
