Bed time!
Preparing for my first chameleon, tips appreciated

Got so scared.
I checked on Vs reservoir this morning and it was right at the tubing, so I quickly filled it up.
Got home from work and was removing dead leaves from the enclosure and something seemed really off. All the leaves seemed "old", as to say the looked like they haven't been misted or washed.
So I siphoned out the water basin and turned the mist king on. Nothing. No mist, no motor, nothing. So I checked all the wiring, all perfectly fine. I then noticed the motor was going, but very very very lightly, like if it's batteries were about to die (figuratively). So I set it on On as I tinkered around to see what improved. Eventually I decided to try priming the exit hose. For a while, nothing. Then it spit a bunch and water started coming through. Jammed it back into the nozzle and we've got mist!!!
The motor is still running extremely lightly, but I guess that's fine as long as it's working. I remember it having more gusto when I first set it up.
So basically Vedool went all day without mist, and possibly part of yesterday as I have no idea when it ran out, but I know it was within the past two days.
I'm Sorry, buddy!!! I have that thing nice and topped off and will make sure refilling it is part of a weekend routine to never let him run out again.

I have heard that a lot with the misting king if they run dry you have to re-prime .

Good to know. I need to make sure he doesn't run out because that was a huge pain to fix after being all set up

Up another 6g, and at 22g now. He would not sit still, so he may be 23g but I'm not going to stress him out over 1g.

he eats his Wheaties every day. I need a spy cam to watch him..I always refill his dish on lunch and they're all gone by the time I'm home. Sometimes there's just legs left in the dish lol

Mist just kicked on and he ran off to go play in it, so I set it to On to give him more shower/drink time

He's been such a good boy. He met my mom and sister today and crawled around on them, then back to his safe little home not long after. Eating many crickets each day, looking hydrated. His markings are becoming a lot more permanent. Growing up so fast
