Puffy veil?!

I got a veiled from a friend, but by looking at other veiled picture my guy's veiled looks puffy and weird. Also it seems his head doesn't shed properly. There's a spot in the middle of his that the shed never comes off.should I be worried?

to me, it looks like at one point he burned his casque, which could be why he sheds weird there. how much do you feed him and what is your supplement schedule?

I feed him about 6 large crickets a day, calcium dusted once a week with d3 once without. Gut loaded with flunkers powder, apple or potatoes and 2-3 superworms a week as well.

he should be getting calcium without d3 at every feeding and twice a month a vitamin with d3 or calcium with d3 and a vitamin

I know they store some fat in their casque but that is excessive.
