Puppy

She does have pretty short legs! Watching her run is so funny.

Unfortunately, she is a bit overweight right now because she is such a couch potato and she keeps finding food to eat that I didn't even know was there! She even pushed a bucket over to the table where we had her duck treats on and ate the whole 1.5 lb bag of them in less than a week. Now she waddles a little. I think she is too smart for my family.

A home is just not a home without dogs, in my opinion. My boyfriend and I have no interest in kids so our dogs are literally our "child alternatives" lol He is looking into adding a third dog to our home but hasn't decided on the breed yet. I have two blue merle Shetland sheepdogs who I adore.

Puppies are a lot of work though, and you pretty much want to kill them a dozen times throughout every day of their first year or so, but I also like raising my dogs. I know who they are, what issues they have or don't have, and I have no one to blame for misbehavior but myself! Lol I must admit, it's why I got mine from a reputable breeder, because I have a guarantee that as far back as her records go, no one has had eye issues, skin issues, joint issues, or any other health issues, and I like that. My first pup 10 years ago was a shelter pup and died a week later.

I know :) dogs are the best :)
I admit, if we do get a dog from the shelter its age would play a huge role in whether or not we got it. Especially since we are going to have children. Both my dogs are from breeders and I couldn't ask for more :)

yes, I agree with you as far as REPUTABLE BREEDER but most of the shelter dogs are from ppl who just dont fix their pets- but you are right, the shelter guys do come with issues alot of times , I am just glad you have dogs, like you said, a home is NOT a home without a dog ( or 5- L:DL)
