purchasing bugs online?

Does anybody have experiences ordering bugs online in my area? (New Brunswick) also if there is anyone in my area that would like to go in on an order that would be great. from what I could find the nearest place to order from is Ontario and in order to make the shipping worth it the order would be much larger than my two ''kids'' would ever eat before going bad. any suggestions would be great. I'm just tired of getting crap from the pet stores, all we can get around here is Crickets and superworms, thats it ! no wax worms, silk worms, hissing roaches... just crickets and supers and mealies. I do gut load and alternate what I use to gut load so hopefully i'm providing them with proper nutrition, but I would like to do better for them than that. Everything I read states that variety is key, but variety is not readily available around here.:(

Butterworms will last a long time, if kept cool. Buy silkworm eggs and powdered chow, keep in fridge and you can hatch them and grow them according to your needs. Find someone local who will sell you dubia.
I have ordered from Ontario (all the way to BC) and it IS worth it to provide variety. Go to the best reptile seller near you and work on them to consider getting in additional feeders - took me years but now several places offer butterworms locally, and even hornworms and silks now and then.

Come spring, consider collecting Terrestrial Isopods (aka pill bugs, rollie pollie, wood sow) and start breeding a colony.
Also catch grasshoppers in summer, and termites.
