I have veiled chameleon and I use Reptisafe right now but I was wondering if I could give him purified water since it does not have any types of chlorine and chemicals.

We have a panther, but we use a Britta right now and we will be purchasing a PUR sink adapter this week. Only purified water goes in his mister.

by ruin, do you mean forever ruin? could it be fixed or repaired somehow, do you think?
If you are in California the tap water is very hard and will build up especially in your misting tips. You can clean them for a while as jamest0o0 said but eventually they will become too clogged to clean. The build up will also turn your cage screens white and make them harder to see thru. RO or distilled is the best choice for our area.

I'm going through this same situation now. I could use some advice on getting distilled water though. Are you saying you buy distilled water every week?! I got through at least 5 gallons a week that sounds like a ton of money

Yeah... I live in SoCal. I have a filtration system on the entire house. I don't have the white residue on the screen BUT my monsoon rainfall system quit on me. It was second-hand so who knows. I got 6 months out of it. I'm going to try soaking the parts I can in vinegar and cross my fingers.
