Here are 2 pictures of my juvi purple bar. Hard to believe the colors they change into. One is him just walking on me and chilling and the other is him sleeping.

His name is "silly". I named him that because when i put my hand inside his cage to get him he puffs up,lol. So to make him chill out i stroke/pet under his chin and he deflates and comes to me. I know hes so "silly", haha....

see and some one told me that there was no such thing as a purple barred panther cham... after i told him that i had a female purpl... she recently laid her 1st clutch and is gonna be ready to breed soon... you can see her on a post that i labeled "Purple Panther"

The only "true" purple barred Chams are amabato's from what everyone has said. Yes females can have some purple in their coloration. No it does not mean she will produce purple colored male offspring. Just like in breeding dogs you can only get certain colors out of certain types. What most people see as a purple barred Cham is usually a half red barred half blue barred male

Look at my Ambanja in my avatar or go to my page and look at my album pics. My Ambanja is about the most purple barred chameleon I have ever seen, but in reality he is exctly what T and A said- A combination of cobalt blue and red bar.
