PVC Coated Wire Mesh

Hey,
I'm building an outdoor DIY cage out of PVC. However, Im having a terrible time finding PVC coated wire mesh or chicken wire. Of course, I can find plenty of the non-coated stuff, but I feel like that would hurt their feet and such if they happened to be screen climbers. I can also find plastic fencing, but Im concerned about its durability and Im not sure if it can deter something like a racoon, (which there are lots of down here) or a cat that wanted to get in.

I've tried all the big name stores, HOme Depot, Lowes, etc. Anyone have any ideas? Or better yet, does anyone know a place that sells it in the Miami area?

Use 1/4 or 1/2 in. hard wire its strong enough to keep the chameleon safe. Just make sure the chameleon cant slip through the holes.

Yeah, that was the size I was thinking about. Again, though, the trouble is finding it with the PVC or vinyl coating. Your guy is looking great btw, Dean!

Try amazon too.

A good feed store will have the coated chicken wire.

ive seen it at home depot...did you happen to ask a sale person cause its not with the other screen material?

Thanks for the input. Yeah that stuffs not cheap, especially in 100 foot rolls! I cant imagine what the shipping would be on that!

Yeah, I've asked and asked in three or four different home depots in my area. Not only do they not carry it now, they also always look at me like Im insane for even asking.

I'll send that ebay store an emsil to get a shipping quote. Im running low on ideas....

we have that sort of thing at Lowe's its in the lawn and garden ssection it is about 1/4 inch diamonds and it rubber or vinyl coated wire mesh... i saw it and would be great for outdoor enclosure ill try and get you a item number to check on if you remind me...

You can get

* 1/4" x 1/4"
* 1/2" x 1/2"
* 1" x 1"

Black PVC coated mesh... Prices are somewhat reasonable..

Located in California though...
