Pygmy eggs.....second batch, ideas?

So after going to uni this morning, I got back and found that Sheila hadnt moved at all since when I left her this morning, knowing that yesterday she was covered in soil after digging, and taking the initiative, i decided to take a peak and to my surprise 3 perfect white eggs!

I decided to take them out of the soil as the other eggs that I have in soil have started to get a bit of mould growing on top of the soil that covers them. so I have now placed both clutches of eggs into Vermiculite.

I have a photo of the 2 lots of eggs below, I'm concerned about the first batch of eggs as they feel rubbery, whereas the new batch of eggs is harder and has more of a proper shell. the first batch of eggs are alot bigger in width but smaller in length which is confusing me and they look slightly brown/pink. what does everyone think for the more experienced of breeders? do the first batch look ok?

Thanks Clea, you had eggs before right? I harvested the other batch out of my cham that dies last wednesday so there is a weeks difference between the two, plus I dont know how long the female was egg bound for. how big are these things when they are ready to hatch? there are definate changes in the first batch since last week, there is a marked dark area on each of them that you can see that are in the eggs themselves.

do they look like they may be bad?

the second batch looks perfect. i think the first ones were in a too damp enviroment. how are they doing now. i just had my first clutch of pygmies hatch today, the eggs were about the size of peanut m&m's. i also have 5 more clutches incubating and more eggs on the way. a couple of my newer batches looked like that at first but after getting them in the verm. they hardened up and whitened up. good luck to you. keep us posted

I have to agree the second clutch does look better then the first. I am not quite sure how big they are when hatching though. Maybe Julirs can help you out. She has hatched out many pygmy chameleons.

I think those round shaped egg must be female if we employ the rule from "birds".
I also got two eggs today, and they looked good. I don't know what to do, though.
