Pygmy Enclosure Needs Approval!

Hey Everyone,

So I'm back with a new-and-improved Pygmy setup. Thanks to some great suggestions last time, I've made adjustments to my setup. I wanted to get suggestions before I got some new pygs for it. The small encosure is a 1 gallon plastic thing. Layer of paper towel, pinheads, plastic plants. I also have a ReptiGlo 5.0 bulb that was recommended. I can't tell if my one little female likes it or not. She seems to bask in it, but turns a little bit splotchy green/brown. Any ideas on this? The 30 gal big kid cage has been set up for a while, waiting for chams to be big enough not to get too lost.....

Also, what's the best way to feed, both now and in the big kid cage? For now, should I put in pinheads in the morning and remove at night, or leave 'em in? For now, I've been leaving them in, with a little piece of apple for them to much on while they get munched on by the pyg. For later, I was thinking of setting up a feeding station inside of the cage.

Thanks!!

get an exo terra feeder rock. btw the cage is beautiful. i am gettin some pygs, so when u get the time can u pm me what u have so i can stock up for when i get them

Is the Reptiglo a compact? That is a bad thing! NO COMPACTS. I would also say 5.0 is a little strong. 2.0 linear flourescent tubes are recommended.
I always free range feeders for pygs. Do no overfeed, but your idea with the apple is fine if there are more than they can eat in there. Your big set up looks great! Just get the 2.0 tube to light it up!

Cool, thanks for the advice Julirs. Pertinent as usual!!! I'll get rid of the compact 5.0 and switch to a 2.0. Thanks everyone!
