Quad Swallowed his tongue

Anyone ever experienced this? He was able to cough it back up after about 10 minutes and ate a cricket like nothing happened.

How could you tell?

He didn't injure his tongue recently did he?

No what i think happened is he shot at a cricket too far away and his tongue pulled back into his throat. I think he is fine now cause he used it right after he coughed it back ito place.

He was trying to eat a cricket and you could see his tongue was going into his throat.

Tongue injuries are common. Its good news that it was useful directly after the incident. Main thinks to keep track of is bad aim or reduced range. This could be a sign of weakening or bending of the bone that flings out the tongue. There has been a few cases of having to remove the tongue of repeat swallowers, but these are extreme cases where the animal just couldnt live otherwise. In your case it looks like it was just and accident.
