Hey guys,

I'm in the process of setting up a new cage for my young female Jackson's, Andromeda. She'll be moving from an 18x18x24 inch glass terrarium to a 24x24x48 screen cage with live plants (pothos, hibiscus, a bromeliad, and one other I have yet to choose), a semi-homemade 3D background (I'm building off an Exo-Terra one). So far I don't have much to show except for this baby that came in the mail yesterday:

Todd at lightyourreptiles.com surprised me with his new fixtures after asking about a different type of setup. This is the 24", I think he only has the 48" one up at the moment but this one does exist! It comes with 4 6500k Daylight Spectrum T5's and two built in moonlight blue LED lights. Todd swapped one of the 6500k bulbs out for an Arcadia D3 6% UVB bulb at a nicely discounted price. It's sturdy, sleak, and very bright!

The 4 bulbs are on separate switches (as are the LEDs for a total of 3 switches), I'm going to swap two of them out for 3000k T5's to provide a wider spectrum for the plants. The lights will be set on a timer to provide: 1 hour of moonlight, 2 hours of dawn lighting, 9 hours Daylight, 2 hours of dusk, 1 more hour of moonlight and 9 hours of darkness.

I use a quad T5 (6500k) for my plants... but that is for plants only... not sure if thats going to be too bright for your enclosure. I guess you just have to try it and see how it goes.

i used a quad 36" t5ho on my cage (2) arcadia 6% and (2) ultra suns. all bulbs from todd @lightyourreptiles.com i was constantly trimming the plants to get light to the bottom.
