Question about crickets......

Yup, just buy two identical containers. It's a modified version of the one at the Reptile Rooms forum (I think).

It's not particularly pretty because that box did not take well to drilling or jigsaw cutting. The thing cracked and splintered horribly even though I was using a plastic cutting blade and every speed imaginable.

It did seem to like the RotoZip rather well, though. If I had it to do over, I would use that or my Dremel router attachment exclusively to do the cutting and run them along a straight edge. Unfortunately, I don't think it's stable enough to use my Festool saw and guide rail.

that is awesome...do you breed them or is it just a home for the crickets???
I am thinking of using this method>>http://www.skylab.org/~chugga/cricket/
and the same style home you have for them and I'm thinking of buying food from cricketfood.com... I hear that is the best for gut loading and breeding crickets...let me know your opinions...
I am very thankful to talk to such knowledgeable people here, thank you so much!

no they dont bite or sting me but they are dirty. their own fecal matter will kill them so clean the cage you are keeping them in. they can chew a hole in regular porch screen. so dont use this on your cham cage.

Oh they do too bite...but it mostly just feels like you got picked with a pin or something. This is a reason you dont want an overwhelming amount of crickets in with your chameleon cause they have been known to bite them and occasionally cause infections.

I buy 6 dozen and it last me a week. How much do you feed your veileld per day?

You might want to consider ordering 500 at a time from a cricket breeder since they would be cheaper. I order from reptilefood.com and they are in ohio so shipping would be on the cheap side for you. I always ask for 2nd day shipping and they get here in one day.
