Question about enclosure location and day/night rhythm.

Hi everyone,
New to this forum and I've been thinking about getting a veiled chameleon for some time. I have been trying to realize where and how I would keep it and I run into a few question marks. Firstly I want to place it in my bedroom where also my computer is which I use a lot during the week when I'm not working. Will this stress the chameleon out when it sees me sitting there, or when I stand up?
My working times are different each week so one week I might be up until 2:00AM and the other I might want to sleep around 9:00PM.
So let's say I put a timer on the lamps so they go off around the same time each day. Will I mess up it's day/night rhytm when I use my room when the lamps on it's enclosure are out? Or will it just sleep peacefully?
I'm sorry if this has been answered somewhere but I couldn't find anything that answers my question directly.

I just want to say I'm really excited about getting one of those and joining the chameleon community and sharing pictures/stories, I just want to make sure I have everything perfect before I get one. Thanks for reading, hope I can get an answer!

You could cover it up with a dark towel if u stay up with your lamps on and take the towel off when the lamps go off
I do this myself. Also, the timer idea is perfect. I use one to turn his lights on and off every day. This gives me piece of mind knowing he is taken care of, vine if I forget about him in my rush to work! :p

Thanks for your replies. Yeah I think getting something like a towel to cover it's enclosure up is a great idea.

I've just been reading so much about how these creatures get stressed so easily and it's starting to stress me out now. That is my biggest wprry, that I have just 1 thing not perfect and it just slowly dies from stress. Or am I just too worried about this?

you are worrying ways to much. If the lamps turn off and he's asleep, just move really slowly and carefully and set the towel on top without making too much noise. Hell never know u were there;)
