Question about Jello as a hydration for Crickets???

just be careful guys, if you are looking for added hydration i would stay away from all water crystals to stay on the safe side. and do as sandra said, use pieces of carrot, yam, dandelion leaves, or make a gutload mixture and freeze cubes.

ive never had a problem with Flucker's Cricket quencher, but again, no nutrition. so what's the point?

Sandra thanks for backing me up, though we still dont have full proof, you are trustworthy enough to help back the claim up. thank you.

Thanks Sandra & ChaeleonsInMyHouse, you two deffinatly brought some good points to think about. I had no idea that water crystals would cause this type of problem or for that matter using a Jello idea. Certainly glad that I have the forums to bounce ideas off of though. Have a great weekend.

I guess it was decided against the gelatine, but wanted to bring up a point nonetheless. I missed it if someone already mentioned it, but sugar free gelatin contains non-natural ingredients/chemicals that replace the sugar and give it flavor - I wouldn't want to be feeding that to my chams (even indirectly through crickets)...

hey, no problem. i'm thankful i remembered that small bit vital piece of info. its hard to remember things sometimes when you dont use that technique, or it's not brought up often. i'm still trying to search for more proof and backup, but no luck really. but i have seen a couple references here and there.

have a great one yourself buddy. cheers
