Question about misting System

Hello,

I have a question regarding the automatic mister system I just purchased. I purchased the Ultimate Value Misting System from MistKing ( Marty) and had only read very good reviews about the system. I have installed the system with my three chameleon tanks and while the system performs as expected, the thing rattles the cages like nothing else. I have tied down the tubing to adjacent walls as much as is physically possible and have tie downs approximately every 2-3 feet at maximum, so I don't see adding more of these as a solution to the problem. Is this something people just deal with and the chameleons get used to the vibrations, or am I doing something wrong? I have read all troubleshooting and FAQ on their website so I have done everything I can think of. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and I hope to learn a lot from all of you as I am new to keeping panther chameleons, but have been an avid reptile enthusiast for 25 years :)

I have a mistking running 2 nozzles and it doesn't rattle at all. I would private message Marty (he is on this forum) and ask him as Im sure he would be able to help you out.

I don't know how you're tying down the tubing, but Marty sells fasteners that screw and hold the tubing tightly against the wall. You don't really need a lot of them, just to make sure that where ever the tubing may touch something, it's secured down. With the right amount of fasteners, the noise is very low.

All of these misting systems are high pressure, low volume. On a 1/4" line, there is going to be some vibration. Most of these misting systems include clips to secure the line. I have a Climist system and didn't bother to secure the lines as the vibration and noise don't bother me. Heck, I honestly am never around when the system is doing it's thing.

Sometimes the slightest movement or padding of the lines will kill the noise. There will always be some sort of vibration while it's pumping.
