How do i know if my chameleon is drinking or hydrated?
I had a monsoon but the timer gave out so i sent it back and got a mistking, i hope its worth the money.Learn what a hydrated chameleon, especially the species you have, looks like. A chameleon that looks skinny is suspect of being dehydrated. Look at the skin, how plump and moist it looks. Does it seem "tight" to the body especially around the tail and pelvis. Does it "tent" which means when it is pinched, it takes "too long" to return to normal. Look a the eyes, see if they are full and plump.
Invest in an automatic mister so you don't worry that you chameleon is having enough opportunity to drink. I rarely ever seem my chameleons drinking.

Wise choice Grasshoppa! Your cham will be healthier and your life will be easier. JannB's blog suggested misting for several minutes during the initial start, so that your cham gets used to it, or figures out it is a water source, but hey are dew-lickers.I had a monsoon but the timer gave out so i sent it back and got a mistking, i hope its worth the money.
