Hello apple,
I am very very sorry to hear about your loss. I am curious to why it happened also. Dont let this stop you from your passion for chams. If you bought from lllrep. i would leave feedback if u can to warn others about this site. i have heard terrible stuff about them. So try and find a way to tell everyone. Once again im sorry for your loss. i hope you do still stay with having a cham just dont get from llrep.

So very sorry for your loss.....How old was your little guy? At what age did you purchase him from LL Reptile?

Christine

First off sorry for your loss, next you cant go and blast a website unless you are absolutely positive it was their fault the cham was sick in the first place.... I have a female ambilobe from them and she is healthy and gorgeous.... growing very well and starting to show a lot of really pretty blue colors on her cheeks and down her sides... Apple has posted about her male a few times before about a few dif things wrong with her female and the male on separate occasions... maybe a few dif things were the cause of this and not the company... I do hope you figure out whats going on so you can make a change for the better...

first of all noone is blwing up a website i just said it can be from there cuz both of my other chams died from there second im not a girl third i never posted anything serious with my male cham so i dont know what the hell you talking about and your starting to piss me off

Do you always get so upset whenever says anything about any of your posts...??? You are awfully defensive about every post you make and cannot take any type of criticism good or bad... I want to help and was not flaming you at all, wasn't even directed towards you but you cannot see that so I cannot help you... Also I did not once call you a "GIRL" so I don't know where the heck you got that either lol....once again good luck hope you can get it all figured out... sorry for pissing you off.. was not my intention..

Apple has posted about her male a few times before........u called me a her go up and read it and the reason I get so upset is b.c some of yous have been piking on the way I post my posts so instead of telling me ''listen dude your posting this way and you should post this way'' you guys/girls make me look stupid.....I'm not here to fight or make enemies I'm here for help and be in a community with other people whose share the loves for chams and all of my posts got turned into argument so I really think its not fair as to the way some of you have been acting

i think Ren is just trying to make sure that you learn from any mistakes. Maybe it was the site. However if you are not absolutely sure of this then you need to also look at your personal care of the animal.

For every animal that dies you should learn something so that the next one you have will have a better chance.

If you don't learn the that animals life and death will be in vain.

Apple-people on here genuinely care about chameleons and are here to help. I will say it is frustrating to see posts about the sick and dieing chams.

This is a great place to get help. Before you get another cham-maybe you could post every aspect of your caging, lighting, temps, food, etc...This could help you out in the long run.

These are just not easy to care for creatures. Something as simple as temperature being too high can kill chameleons. Lighting issues can kill. Caging can kill. Overhandling can kill. Stress can kill.

Good luck.

this just happened to my male meru dwarf jackson and i don't have the fecal results back to see if it was a parasite or dehydration. I got him and a female dwarf also male and female rudis both females are pregnant and momma rudis gave birth to ten babies. Ma meru is golf ball sized and not very happy

julirs i know that i was trying to meet all the requirements with lighting misting food he seems happy and healthy always eating a drinking i also think it could have been crickets i bought from the pet land i usually get them from i just dont know im just upset it happened i and i hope my female lays those eggs because shes all i have left

how is the female doing is she showing any signs of digging finally or still moving around a lot? If you go with the trashcan idea, I think you will have more than satisfying results... When April laid her last clutch she was dig gin in 2 dif plants scratching at the bottom or the enclosure... everywhere but what i gave her and she used before.... i had to put her in a place where she had no choice and it was a matter of hours after she laid again...

Sorry for your loss. Sometimes this just happens where seemingly healthy animals just crash and there's not much, if anything, that can be done. Overall, I would say I've been pretty lucky in that it hasn't happened that much to me, but it has happened. Over many years I've only had it happen once with a cb animal in its prime. I believe that it can only be from some sort of major organ shutdown and I would say 9 times out of 10 it has something to do with prolonged dehydration during import. If he was acting normally, eating, drinking, etc just before this happened, there's likely not anything that could have been done to save him.

As for the other issue, I'm going to go post on the other one about your female with some thoughts.

I have never had any issues with LLL reptiles. There may have been other issues, which lead to this tragedy.
