RainDome Video??

I have a mist king but Fredo is not a fan of being misted and i'm quite interested in the raindome. I've looked for a video but cant find any here or youtube. Maybe i just somehow missed it or something. Does anyone have a video of the RainDome in action?

Yes i know that. But its impossible to have warm water come out of a misting system. I have only been able to get it to stay somewhat ish warm in the bucket, and by the time it comes out of the nozzle its cold. Their is not a way to keep the water HOT in the bucket so it comes out warm out of the system.

ITs not impossible i made my own misting system put an AQUARIUM HEATER into the bucket my water stays at 88 degrees all day and night long and you can make it higher if you want. I made my own rain system for $50 i posted some photos somewhere on the forums.

its basically a nozzle elevated in a container thing so the mist hits the screen and falls through but it doesnt get all over.

honestly ive been thinking about taking out my other misting nozzle and just having raindomes. kind of tired of getting mist all over everything already and my cham loves the raindome.

Thanks for the videos Ace and heartben.

So does that tub just hold a little water at a time that is produced from the pump in another bucket? I figure it cant hold much water in it if it sits right ontop of the screen...?

lol well no, actually there is a spray nozzle inside the raindome thing on top, it sprays on the screen and the screen ccollets water to form water droplets

no more making holes in cages

i also thought i should mention it DOES spray some actual mist through too so its pretty nice that way, little bit of mist and rain.. as you can see my cham likes to sit under it and get "rained" on so i know he is getting plenty hydrated.

havent had a single urate with a tinge of yellow/orange since i've had it hooked up! im guessing your cham is still drinking though even if he is afraid or whatever the case is, i just like knowing my cham willingly chills under it. mostly earlier in the day but from time to time ill see him there a couple times a day.

Yes i still see him drink sometimes. he is plenty hydrated. Its just most of the time he runs to his basking corner where the water does not hit. Then when its done he will go drink from the leaves. Rarely do i see him sit in the mist. I've got a couple ideas of how to make my own rain dome so.. i'll work on it after work tomorrow. Chameleons are taking over my life...

kev do you warm your water at all. Bro that should be your next product, another 20 dollar addition or something. It would fly off shelves.

Ah, thx for the idea! My veileds HATE cold water, but w warm water, the female tries to drink it as I mist her, and the male climbs the screen and places his head right against the top of the cage under where I'm misting and just closes his eyes.

I'm researching the automated route, And constant warm water was definitely an issue I had to address, so thx again!

If you buy a submersable fish tank heater you can take the dial cover off the top and turn the temp past the 85 degrees and get 100 degree water, by the time it comes out of the mister it will be in the mid 80's. you should insulate the bucket. I used a thin silver bubble insulation that come in a roll. go around the bucket a couple of times, a couple on the top and bottom and you're golden. my three cham's love the warm water.

not to be a tree hugger or anything, but isn’t that really inefficient to keep a 5 gal bucket at 90 deg all the time?

Some kind of in line instant heater would be much better, it would then only go on as the pump goes on.
