I am sure you have advised this before, but I have never done it? I have just bought ff in a bottle is that the same kind you are breeding? How do you breed your crickets?

a word about fruit flies

not to be negative, but you should be aware that mites love ff cultures and many commercial ff culture suppliers have mites in their cultures, and once they are in your cultures it is almost impossible to get them out . there are many methods for keeping your cultures clean (if you start with clean cultures) including insecticidal shelf paper , contact adhesive shell paper (sticky side up), fly paper and keeping your cultures in an aquarium (without touching the sides) and about 1/8"of water in the bottom. there is a ff supllier on ebay that guarantees mite free cultures and you tube has dozens of videos on how to culture fruit flies and several on how to keep them mite free. just my 2 c worth
