heya guys,
i have couple of hornworms that are about ready to turn to pupae. 5 of them buried themselves into the chow and turn into pupae already. I dig them out and bury them under moist spaghnum moss in a cricket container.
Is that fine? Should i moist the moss regularly?
I put some chopsticks inside, in case the moth emerge and needed to dry their wings.
Also, as soon as the moth emerge, what should i do to make them lay eggs neatly instead of all over the place?
as far as the remaining caterpillar that are already in wandering stage. Can i just dump them into the container fill with spaghnum moss?
or should i use peat moss, instead?
I have peat moss but unfortunately they are fortified with plant food.
Is that ok to use?
Thank you thank you thank you
