Rare species hatching!

This is the first time Kinyongia uluguruensis has been hatched in captivity anywhere in the world. Deposition was 8/31/14, hatching occurred today.

She's out!

She's out exploring. Pretty sure it's a female. Very calm and curious. If it were male it would be trying to kill me.

Wonderful Accomplishment

Congrats Mike, I am so happy for you, what an achievement. Most of us will never have to chance you match what you have done.

You can see she knows she is special, look at that prancing walk and tiny nose up in the air. A prima-donna is born.
