Ready to breed?

My female is 7-8 inches total length and weighs 50 grams. Is this a good size for breeding? She's yet to lay an infertile clutch but I have controlled her feeding a bit as suggested to prevent one. She does display receptive colors when I introduced my male to her as well. So what I am asking is if she is ready to go.

Here's a few shots of when I introduced them to each other. Seemed to go well and my male got his head bob on.

I dont know much about breeding but hope to someday! I really like your freerange setup, did you paint the walls blue for the chams hehe?

Yeah I've had my walls blue for years. I just wanted something dark and couldn't get away with black walls so I figured a nice deep blue would work. The free range is still my work in progress. I really need more room and would like to actually incorporate UVB linear lighting but for now I'm just using a mercury vapor for part time play time.

I wait until my females are just over the 70gram mark (about 74 or so).
Introducing your male to your female like that may now cause her to lay an infertile clutch...Be prepared with a laying bin.

Now would be a great time to breed her! She looks receptive and ready. Looks like the male is ready too! You can put me down for a couple of their babies!
