Really, REALLY big poop....is it normal?

My female veiled, Isis who is 11 months, has been having a bit of a rough time lately. She was diagnosed in late August with pneumonia - her left lobe was completely infected and her right one partially (My vet didn't hold out much hope for recovery!) Since her diagnosis she's had 5 weeks of oral Baytril, she laid her first clutch of unfertile eggs and had a partial shed. Its been extremely stressful (for both of us!) but she is thriving now and looking plump and healthy with a strong grip, bright eyes and clear (not raspy) breathing. I am so very, very pleased for her (and proud of myself) that we overcame this - I have even trained her to cup feed in this time period!

However, in my overzealousness of wanting her back on track to being healthy, I think I may be feeding her too much! Since taking her off the Baytril (a week ago) she has been eating ALOT - 15 - 17 crickets per day and I have been monitoring her fecal matter but today, WOW! She had the biggest poop I have ever seen (for a cham!) Seriously, it was at least 2.5 inches long and when I investigated further, I found a huge patch of urates on the bottom of her enclosure as well.

I have posted a pic of each (sorry, I know its gross....) but I need to know if this is, or can be normal or if it is an indication of perhaps another problem (bowels)? I am extremely attached to this little girl and need to know if the big poop and large urate warrants a trip to the vet? Any advice would be appreciated! :)

Well she really did drop a log. But with all the extra food, baytril, stress and whatever else, I don't think it is anything to worry about. I would keep and eye on her , like you aren't already:) and cut back on feeders. I expect she will return to normal pooping. Do tell her all the guys would be showing that to their buddies. lol

Congrats on the recovery, and your amazing dedication to your pet!! My male veiled has dropped a few HUGE ones almost the size of his leg so I can understand your shock over it

Okay...thanks everyone! I won't worry that this is the start of something else to worry about (worry must be a 'Cham' thing!!) I've been watching her today and she is doing just great! I'm sure she feels a bit lighter tho'! lol
