Here are some older pictures, it’s hard to get a good look at the vent in these but I agree it looks off if I compare.

The vent more normal in these photos. Could she have defecated just before you took those first photos?

I’m not sure. She goes about every other day to every two days.

Yeah see in that second pic it is has a normal green coloring. And does not look swollen.

How often is she passing fecal and urate?

Her poo and urate are well formed and healthy looking I think but I suppose they could still be hard to pass?? I’ll try to take a pic next time.

And the urate is mostly white?

Yes! Urates are 95-99% white with a little orange once in a while.

I got a picture of her vent while sleeping and it doesn’t look black or swollen but now that she’s waking up it’s turning darker again. Thoughts? @kinyonga @MissSkittles @Beman

That looks much more normal. Maybe it is just part of her coloring... I really do not know.

I wondered that, maybe it’s part of her receptive color and pattern, though it does look a little puffy during the day. I’ll keep an eye on it.

Thats what I am thinking. I am just glad it looks normal when she is relaxed. If it were something major it would not change like that when she sleeps.
