Recptive female doesnt want to stay?

Some dude at fins and fangs near me said i need to show her how to dig since this is her first time. Is he just a moron, like I suspected?

Yeah ummmm from what I have seen this is built in for them. They figure it out. You do need to make sure that the playsand will hold a tunnel and that it is not too wet.
He sounds like a moron though. They are not dogs where you teach them to do something. It is instinctual for them to dig when they are ready to lay.

I appreciate every bit of info you give me! Next time, i will NOT be getting a female. Spring was an impulse buy for me. And a lot of sleepless nights trying to fix what i almost unknowingly tried to destroyed!!!! Haha

Nothing wrong with owning a female if your husbrandry is in check, they MIGHT lay eggs once in a while. If your husbandry is proper it should be a seemless experience. Dig the eggs up give her plenty or water and food the next day and thats pretty much it. When your husbrandry is incorrect this is when things can become proplematic. Females tend to have a far better personality than males, atleast from my experience.

Don't worry too much about the whole female thing too much, as long as your lay bin and husbandry are good then she'll be fine just remember usually they lay in the corner lol. It's true!
