Red plants, will they stress my baby veiled?

I've never seen any information about it before but my baby veiled (I believe is about 2months old) seems to get dark purple/black markings when he goes near his red vine (plastic), could it be that this is stressing him as everywhere else in his enclosure he is lime green and even enjoys being held. I must also point out that this plant is new and has only just (within the last hour) been put into his enclosure, I don't want to upset but is it worth leaving the plant in to see if he gets used to it?
Thanks x

Is my baby Yemen in stress? HELP!!!!

I've never seen any information about it before but my baby veiled (I believe is about 2months old) seems to get dark green (could possibly turn black) markings when he goes near his red vine (plastic), could it be that this is stressing him as everywhere else in his enclosure he is lime green and even enjoys being held. I must also point out that this plant is new and has only just (within the last hour) been put into his enclosure during which time I moved his enclosure around, I don't want to upset him but is it worth leaving the plant in to see if he gets used to it?

you could try and see. He might just be upset cause you changed things around and needs to gets used to stuff. They are creatures of habit! if it continues, move the red vine and see how he reacts. It will not kill him, don't worry!

Thank you so much! Ive removed the vine as he started hissing and as soon as I did he went back down to normal colours and even ran over to me trying to escape!
I wonder why reds so bad? after all it wasn't moving?!?
at least he's happy again! :D
Thanks x

I guarantee it has something to do with the colors they can see. I remember in biology learning something about how bulls will attack red because its one of the only colors they can clearly make out from other colors. I would say a cham is smarter than a bull any day but not sure what color spectrum they see exactly.
