Rehomed panther chameleon

I have had this guy a few days now and have booked him an appt at a herp vet as I am concerned about him. I believe him to be about 8 months old. Just thought I would post some pictures to see what you guys think. The bright colours are when he was out of his enclosure to allow me to get more horizontal branches in. The others are whilst in there and one in particular shows the strange hump he has. The previous owner thinks he has always been like it but remembered him having a fall 4 months ago. I have no idea what type he is so would welcome your thoughts

Chameleon Info:

• Your Chameleon - approx 8 months I believe him to be male amd a panther but not sure
• How long has it been in your care? I rehomed him Monday. Previous owners had him since he was a baby
• Handling - 2 times since Monday to change his habitat and to take him out into the sunshine
• Feeding - not that interested in feeding. Has taken 4 locust since Monday and six mealworms. Offer him food after he has warmed up and again early afternoon. Gutload ed with dandelion kale carrot peas chickweed
• Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? Calcium daily. D3 once a fortnight along with multivitamin (no D3). Previous owner dusted every day with calcium and D3!
• Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? Has dripper. How often and how long to you mist? 5 times a day for about 2 mins. Do you see your chameleon drinking? Yes
• Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? Brown haven't seen orange or white urate. Not passing more than twice since Monday. Not tested as yet
• History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you. Previous owner misinformed by pet shop where she bought him. He had a fall a few months ago which didn't end up with a vet visit. I am concerned he is sick and has poss MBD. He is lethargic and not interested in feeding much. Only fed locusts for last 3 months in last home. Apparently won't eat anything else. He has been tempted with a few mealworms yesterday which is all I could get until Saturday when I can get to reptile store. I know they should only be occasional. He stopped eating crickets she said ages ago. He only stands when he is moving.

   • Cage Type - Komodo 3x2x2 screen enclosure. It has glass sliding doors and glass bottom but screens all other sides and roof
   • Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule? Since Monday he has a basking light 75 watt and a new 5.0 UVB. Previously has a ceramic heater 24/7 and no basking lamp. Since Monday I have turned lights and heat off overnight for 12 hrs
   • Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps? Have a microclimate EVO and have he got basking to 28 Celsius but struggling to raise a little higher. Lower cage is 20. Lowest overnight 18
   • Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity? Hand misting several times a day. Havent a meter for humidity until trip to reptile shop
   • Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind? No fake until weekend. Going to get umbrella and hibiscus
   • Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cagerelative to your room floor? In alcove in lounge away from window side. No traffic past cage at all dilute to location. Height top of cage 5 foot 9 inches
   • Location - Where are you geographically located? I am UK
   
   Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about. See initial post. No appetite lethargy hump over pelvis, no curve in back, rests on tummy, does not hunt out food but previous owner hand fed him

Yes he is a male Ambilobe Blue Bar Panther. He could have some MBD(metabolic bone disease). His front limbs look a little curvy and he also has that hump in the rear of his back right before the tail. Did the previous owner use UVB lighting do you know? Also, I would remove that moss or whatever that white stuff is in the cage. Your panther might eat that and it could lead to digestive problems.

Hi Carl thanks for your reply. That white stuff is fake and is already put as it doesn't look very nice anyway. Yes he had a UVB tube 5.0 but was told it would last 2 yrs by the petshop!! Having said that it was new when she bought it in October so was just over its sell by date. Also her calcium was incorporating the D3 that she used every day as per their instructions.
Is there anything else I should be doing before getting him checked out.
