hi setting up my first cham viv and want to give my baby yemen the best start in life ive read that the reptisun 5.0 is the best uv light but ive been out looking in the pet shops and all they stock is the reptiglo is this as good as the reptisun the shops in the uk dont seem to stock them?

Repti glo can be just as good but doesn't last as long.

you couls also use the arcadia reptile u.v lights they are also pretty good last about 9 months and emmit u.v a bit further that 6 inches around 12 inches downwards , i use the reptiglo strip bulbs and they are ok but they need changing quite oftern as the u.v gets weaker over a few months , reptisun is by zoo med so type in that to the internet and see...i cant get them down in bournemouth either!!

There are several UVB bulbs on the market, and the only one we use is the Reptisun 5.0. The Reptisun 5.0 has been proven over-and-over again when it comes to raising healthy chameleons.
We've also found that the tubes work better than the coil bulbs. It seems that the coil bulbs are not as effective in fighting MBD. If you cannot source a bulb on your own, contact me at 571-437-0642 and lets see if we can help.
It is best not to take a chance with anything else.
